Sell Your Panerai: What PAMs Are Worth in 2026

| 3 min read

Panerai has one of the most passionate collector bases in the watch world. The “Paneristi” community is real, and it means that if you have the right PAM, there’s a buyer out there who specifically wants it — not just any luxury watch, but your exact Panerai.

The flip side: Panerai depreciates from retail more than Rolex or Omega. The brand has a higher retail markup and a smaller total audience, so secondary prices typically land 30-50% below MSRP. But if you bought pre-owned, your depreciation exposure is much lower.

I buy Panerais regularly, and certain references move quickly when priced right.

Model-by-Model Resale Values

Luminor Marina — The Classic

The Luminor Marina is the iconic Panerai. The crown guard bridge, the cushion case, and the military heritage make it instantly recognizable.

Current market values:

  • Luminor Marina 44mm (PAM01312): $4,500-5,800
  • Luminor Marina 42mm (PAM01392): $4,000-5,200
  • Luminor Due 42mm (PAM00904): $4,200-5,500
  • Older PAM111/PAM00111: $3,500-4,800
  • Submersible — The Dive Line

The Submersible (formerly Luminor Submersible) is Panerai’s dive watch. Larger cases and a rotating bezel distinguish it from the Marina.

    Current market values:

  • Submersible 42mm (PAM00683): $5,000-7,000
  • Submersible 47mm: $5,500-8,000
  • Submersible BMG-Tech: $6,000-8,500
  • Radiomir — The Purist’s Choice

The Radiomir is the original Panerai design — wire lugs, no crown guard. It has a more refined, dress-watch aesthetic while still being unmistakably Panerai.

    Current market values:

  • Radiomir 1940 45mm: $4,000-5,500
  • Radiomir Base (PAM00753): $3,500-5,000
  • Radiomir California dial: $4,500-6,000

What Affects Panerai Resale

Size is the biggest factor. Panerai’s signature look comes in 42mm, 44mm, 45mm, and 47mm. The market has shifted toward 42mm as the sweet spot. Larger sizes (47mm+) trade at a discount because fewer people want to wear a dinner plate on their wrist daily.

PAM number matters. Paneristi identify watches by PAM number more than anything else. Certain PAMs are more desirable due to limited production, special dials, or historical significance. If your watch has a sought-after PAM number, that premium is real.

Box and papers are critical. The Panerai audience cares deeply about provenance. Full set with box, warranty card, and all accessories commands a significant premium over watch-only.

Condition on the case. Panerai cases scratch easily (especially the polished versions). A well-preserved case adds real value. A heavily scratched one isn’t a dealbreaker — the watches can be professionally refinished — but it affects the offer.

Sell Your Panerai

I buy Panerais across the entire lineup — Luminor, Submersible, Radiomir, Due. I know the PAM numbers, I know which sizes move and which sit, and I price based on current secondary market data.
