How to Sell a Tudor Watch for Maximum Value
Tudor is one of the smartest watch purchases you can make if you care about value retention. It’s the Rolex sister brand, built in the same factory, with comparable finishing — at one-third the price. And unlike most brands in the $3,000-5,000 range, Tudors actually hold their value.
I buy Tudors regularly because they’re liquid, well-made, and the audience keeps growing. Here’s what your Tudor is actually worth and how to get the best price.
Model-by-Model Resale Values
Black Bay 58 — The Tudor to Own

- Black Bay 58 Navy Blue (79030B): $3,000-3,800
- Black Bay 58 925 Silver: $3,200-4,000
- Black Bay 58 Bronze: $3,000-3,600

- Pelagos 42mm (25600TN): $2,800-3,500

- Black Bay 41 (79540): $2,200-2,800
- Black Bay 36 (79500): $2,000-2,600

These hold 85-95% of their retail price — exceptional for this price range.
Pelagos — The Serious Diver
The Pelagos is Tudor’s professional dive watch and has a dedicated following among actual divers and tool watch enthusiasts.
Current market values:
Black Bay Chrono — Growing Demand
The Black Bay Chrono has become more popular as prices have come down from initial hype levels. The panda dial in particular is desirable.
Current market values:
Black Bay 41/36 and Heritage Models
The standard Black Bay line holds reasonably well but doesn’t command the premiums of the 58 or Pelagos.

Why Tudors Hold Value
Rolex DNA at a fraction of the price. Tudor uses Rolex cases, the same manufacturing standards, and similar designs. Buyers know they’re getting serious watchmaking for $3,000-5,000.
Growing collector base. Tudor has cultivated its own identity over the past decade. It’s no longer just “cheap Rolex” — it’s a legitimate brand with its own following.
Limited production. Tudor doesn’t flood the market. You can’t always walk into an AD and buy the exact Black Bay you want — that scarcity supports secondary prices.
Important: Year Matters for Tudor
Tudor references span many years and the same reference can vary significantly in value depending on the year. A 79230R from 2017 is worth less than a 2023 example because of dial changes, movement upgrades, and overall condition degradation over time.
When I value a Tudor, the year is one of the first things I check. If you know your warranty card date or purchase year, that helps me give you a more accurate number.
Sell Your Tudor
I buy Tudors every week — Black Bays, Pelagos, Chronos, Rangers. I know the Tudor market well and price based on current sold data for your specific reference and year.
Text me a photo at (469) 727-5559. Include the reference number if you have it (it’s on the caseback or warranty card). I’ll send you a fair offer based on real market comps. Same-day payment, no consignment, no fees.
